There are at least 2 beaches in the Kingsville area, which, surprisingly, may have some surf: Lakeside Park, and little Westward - Cedar Beach. |
East Beach rd belongs to Leamington, but actually is on the East footing of Point Pelee, between Marinette beach and Elmdale |
To the West from Point Pelee:
Leamington, ON is known for occasional surf at Seacliff Park (just west of Leamington dock) sand break on SE, S, W winds.

Ashtabula has a bunch of beaches, but most of them are private. Watch this video of Ben Gravy attempting to surf somewhere in the vicinity. Yet, there are at least 3 known surf spots accessible to public:
Walnut Beach Park - sandy beach, may get waves on W, SW and strong NE winds. Watch video for sample conditions in April. Established kiting and windsurfing spot.
Saybrook Park - sandy beach may be blocked now.
Geneva State Park - nice sandy beach.
There is only chance for surfing on W, SW, strong NE winds. |
Beaches at Mentor-On-The-Lake start generating surf on NW, W, SW winds.
Headlands Beach State Park - Nice sandy beach. Used mostly for windsurfing and kiting.
Mentor Beach Park - I honestly don't see where exactly to surf there (maybe there is some other Metro Park in the area), I think the Yacht Club nearby is a better bet.
Overlook Beach Park |
Edgewater Park Beach well-established surf spot in Cleveland, OH. Some people call it "the spot" to surf on lake Erie. The lineup can be quite crowded when the the weather is decent and it is warm. The beach itself is popular among general public and can be overflown on nice weather weekends and holidays. Parking can be a challenge. The most convenient is the Lower parking, there is manageable walk from the Upper parking, and pretty far from the West Upper Parking spot. The best waves build at breakwall and sewer pipe on strong NE, NW, and SW winds. See the webcam for the current conditions. For general info on surfing Cleveland, watch this video. Watch how surfing may look like at Edgewater Park Beach in the Summer, September, October
There are also some references to surfing in Euclid Park - but the sandy beach seem to be spoiled with the wave breakers. West outskirt looks promising though. |
Shallow sandy beach, may work on S, SE winds.
